- Driver for Windows 98 / WindowsME / Windows 2000 / Windows XP
- Driver for Windows Vista
- Alternative Driver for Windows Vista
Please follow the instructions below to set the right COM port:
STEP 1: Install the Software
- First, download and install the driver for your version of Windows (see above)
- Please note that there are separate drivers for Windows XP and Windows Vista
STEP 2: Plug-in the Hardware
- Connect the USB to serial port adapter to your PC's USB port and follow the on-screen instructions
STEP 3: Set the right COM port
- Right click on MY COMPUTER then click PROPERTIES
- Click HARDWARE, then DEVICE MANAGER
- Double click PORTS (COM and LTP), and look for PROLIFIC USB to serial COM port
- Double click to open it
- Then click PORT SETTINGS, then ADVANCED
- Change the COM PORT NUMBER to COM1
- Then click OK
- If you get a warning message, click YES
- Then click OK and close DEVICE MANAGER
- Finally restart your PC
